Area51m R1, no post, no Alienware logo

Greetings,

I did a repaste job and wanted to test the laptop. I left the game running while I was away. When I came back found a BSOD. I then turned off the laptop and switched it on again only to get the light indicator switches 2 red beeps every 10 -8 seconds.

I then disconnected everything including ram, SSD, battery, and WiFi card. Not really sure what to do next as I’m confused as what could go possibly wrong? I disassembled it again physically inspected for burns , reinstalled the CPU just for good measures, reinstalled the GPU as well.

I get no beeps or visual error codes. I even replaced the light indicator to eliminate the possibility of faulty led indicating wrong error code.

Wish me some luck.

Thanks

Hi @JJ1990 welcome to this free user-to-user Alienware laptop discussion forum.

Support for Alienware Area-51m (R1) System diagnostic LED code, two amber, white ? times is incomplete code.

No post, no Alienware logo usually indicates No memory or RAM detected. POST (Power‑On Self‑Test) and Screen display function requires RAM. Please remove RAM cards from RAM slots and clean electrical copper contacts with dry lint free cloth being careful not to touch copper contacts. Using bright light, visually inspect RAM slots for dust/debris and use can of dry air, or similar to remove. If two RAM cards, insert one at a time in each slot to determine what works to boot laptop.
