m17 R3, If I open it, does it void the warranty?

I want to install an m.2 ssd additional.

No it does not. Dell even shows you how to open and upgrade your machine while retaining your warranty. If you damage your laptop or any internal components as a result of doing an upgrade yourself, then you will not be covered (if they can show that you caused the issue).

No, it’s a m.2 upgrade and it wouldn’t affect your warranty unless you change something critical like a Motherboard or something.

Quick Tip: If your laptop has voltage / charging issues, try shutting it down, unplugging power from laptop, hold power button down for 30 seconds to do a full reset!
