Terrible boot up speed on Alienware m17 r5 AMD
Hello everyone, for the past 3 years i have been using Alienware m17 r5 AMD version and to say i am terribly disappointed how badly optimized this laptop is, it has been barely used as gaming laptop and more as work and entertainment device, in that period i had to replace the battery which went to less than 60% of health and in the past year the performance in even simple games such as League Of Legends is very poor, but the biggest problem is boot up time is disgusting, when not plugged on charger it takes more than 3 minutes to boot up, on charger it is close to 2 minutes, i have reinstalled windows disabled all startup apps even repasted and nothing seems to work did anyone have similar problems with the same laptop?

1. Good. Non-OEM from microsoft.com (without all the Dell stuff)? Try that with only AWCC on top.
2. Sounds like your Power Profiles are different for AC-Adapter (High Performance) and Battery (Balanced or Saver). If this was bumming me out, I would set them the same and just let the battery run down a little quicker.
Does anything show up with HWinfo64 ? No throttling.
How about Crystal Disk-Info and Disk-Mark? SMART reads good and transfers look appropriate for a NVMe-SSD?
Try turning Off "Fast Startup" in Windows-11 Settings/
With a fast bootable NVMe SSD like yours, you don't really need it anyway.
