x17 R1, unknown device

I have an unknown device that I cannot find drivers on have my SDD failed and had do a clean install of Windows 11.

USB\VID_04c5&PID_11F3.

Looking at the Microsoft Catalog it says it is most likely a Realtek Semiconductor device. But I tried all the Realtek drivers and still there as unknown. Looking at the older threads I have tried the ON Screen display still nothing.

The slots accommodate two single drives or a single RAID drive, consisting of two identical PCIe Gen3 x4 NVMe cards.

Hi @jsgoodrich25 thank you for sharing update.

The PC711 is PCIe Gen3 x4 so it does not matter which slot is used. PC/BC711 | SK hynix

At power-on: Does POST (Power On Self Test) give diagnostic light code. Does Screen work. Does Alienware Splash screen give F2 and F12 options. Does system boot into the Windows 11 operating system.

There is one drive it is the PC711 NVMe SK Hynix 1TB drive. It is what dell shipped with the tech when they replaced it a month ago.

The system boots and runs fine.  It is just a unknown device in windows device manager.

Webcam works, keyboard works, audio works. I can not for the life of me find what is not working.

Done that and it keeps coming back as unknown. It is really puzzling.

Hi @jsgoodrich25 thank you for sharing update.

Please visit Device Manager and delete driver for unknown device. Then Restart (not Shut Down) to save change. When Alienware X17 R1 restarts (with internet), Windows will look online for any driver that is required. If not required, the driver for unknown device will not be installed.
