Cannot delete or change perms on files or folders on cifs fs
I have some user created files on a cifs filesystem on a celerra running 5.6.44.408 but for some reason i cannot delete these files even though when i check the effective permissions i have full rights. I have Domain admin rights and my account is in the local admin group of the celerra tried to take ownership of the files and folder but i still cannot delete the files.
I have tried from different computers Servers/workstations and even tried using the account of the user who created the files who btw cannot delete the files either.
You can cd to "/nas/quota/slot_x/" replacing x with the data mover number. You may need to be root, but you should be access the mountpoints on the data mover from there and use the linux commands to delete the data you need to delete. Please be carefull as this path allows access to config files as well as the data and can lead to data loss if not careful.
Thank you for your suggestion i will try that as a lst resort, since i dont want to make a mistage and delete the wrong thing from the control station interface.
But in addition I am recieving this message in the log on the datamover. I have looked it up on powerlink but i cannot find this error.
The ip is the ip i was using when i tried to delete the files.
