Celerra NS350 Control Station question

Another office in our organization has graciously provided us with a Celerra NS350 that they had purchased and decided not to use. I've got it racked and cabling according to the various bits of documentation available in Powerlink. I have powered it up as follows:

Additional DAE connected to PDUs.
SPS powered off, both sides.
SPEs connected to SPS, one SPE on each side of SPS.
Data Movers disconnected from SPS.
PDU power applied.
SPS power applied, both sides at approximately the same time.
SPEs allowed to boot, waited until amber alert light finished flashing and went dark.
Data Movers connected to SPS at approximately the same time.
Data Movers allowed to boot, waited until amber alert light finished flashing and went dark.
Control station powered on.
Within a few seconds I see Grub pointing at Linux.
Select Linux to boot, see it get to the point where it says it is decompressing the kernel and it says "ok"
It freezes there, nothing else happens.

Any idea what I am missing? I haven't used a Celerra before, but it was my understanding that the control station should boot into linux and allow me to access the shell. Do I need to boot from a CD to wipe the unit? There is currently no data we need to save so it was my intention to update everything and wipe it prior to use.

have you tried to connect with a serial cable to the back of the control station ? It's possible that display has been redirected to console so you don't see anything on the VGA output.

No I haven't, but that sounds promising. I'll let you know. SS

yes, that most probably the case that it is using the serial port

If the system has been configured before just ask your other department to tell you the IP address of the control station and point your Web browser to it

If it hasnt you'll see a message on the serial port that its waiting to be configured with Celerra Startup Asisstent

That was it. The console was redirecting to the serial port on the front of the unit. Ended up connecting my laptop to the internal network and hitting the control station on the 1.100 and was able to log in using the default credentials. I appreciate the quick and helpful responses.
