AX4-5i

Using Navisphere 6 for access to my AX4-5i.

Looks like a drive failed - Enclosure 0 Disk 0 - Keeps flipping status from removed to requested Bypass

The hot spare says Hot spare replacing Enclosure 0 disk 0.

If the hot spare kicked in why is the Lun considered degraded? Also once I get a new drive can I just pop it in to enclsoure 0 disk 0 and it will rebuild?

    Has the rebuild to hot spare completed?

    Note that the hot spare will not rebuild the system area that is present on Enclosure 0 Disk 0. Hot spare will rebuild only the user data that is present on that disk.

    I'm thinking that it has not completed yet. I thought the Hot spare replacing status would be inactive if it is not replacing a disk. The RAID group the disk failed on is 2TB in size so it might take a day or so?
