I have several CX4 bundled together inside a domain, and several domain accounts were created for management purposes. Is it possible to enable LDAP authentication for a particular CX box inside the domain, so that only that CX uses LDAP for authentication but not the rest of the CX boxes in the domain?
Just in case this is not possible, how can I remove a CX box from a domain? I tried to do it from the "Configure Domain", but it seems nothing can be accomplished from the window...
I am not sure about being able to use LDAP for one CX array in a doamin.
But to answer your question about removing a array from a domain, Go to FIles>Setup Domain>Configure Domain. You will see all the systems in the domain in the lower right. Click on the one you want to remove and hit the "arrow" to move it to the available systems box
If the array you are removing is the domain master (which should be the highest model array), it should prompt you that you will need to select a new domain master. It will remove any domain accounts that were created on the clariion when you do this. Make sure you know what the local login for taht array is before you do it.
It sounds like the account you are logging in with doesnt have administrator privledges. Is your account a administrator in the Domain? This is the clariion domain and not the windows domain.
I was unable to do anything in the "configure Domain" window, all the buttons a re grayed out and i can not left click to get into any fields, the SP's are behind a firewall if that info is relevant, i do have Navisphere/Unisphere access to the SP's though.

In Unisphere, there is not a tools option (at least i dont see it).
If you removed this box from the old domain, it is now in a new domain by itself. You can check that by looking at the "Select Domain master" link.
So those LDAP options should only affect that specific CX4.
