Mirrorview, iSCSI, cabling

Hi
I have two cx3-40c arrays, side by side.
I want to test mirrorview over iSCSI, cheaply!

Can I run a CAT6 ethernet crossover cable from iscsi port 3 on SPA on the first CX3-40c to iscsi port 3 on SPA on the second CX3-40c?
A second cable would run from from SPB p3 to SPB p3.

Is this a valid cabling config?

    Hi,

    Reading the EMC CLARiiON Open Systems Configuration Guide For CX3-Series and CX-Series Storage Systems I don¿t see why it wouldn¿t be a valid configuration especially for a PoC. Obviously you will have to be on FLARE 26 to make it happen.

    I hope this helps and I welcome views from other forum users

    I also believe that you need straight thur cables for GigE, not crossover cables.

    Thanks for your input.

    My poor mans mirrorview setup works fine.

    A CAT6 ethernet crossover cable between SPA iscsi port3 on CX3-40c prod to SPA iscsi port3 on CX3-40c DR, and the same for SPB......all works fine.

    Do you need to configure the ip in the port management iscsi? Where can i found documentation about this?
