Either I am really stupid or the new interface is missing a feature. I am keen to hope I am really stupid. Where in the world has the "Retrieve Archive" feature gone in UniSphere Analyzer? I can go in to QoS Manager and see that I can retrive NQMs for my one array (out of 4 - which I still need to figure out as well) but there is no Retrive Archive avaliable in Analyzer...
Currently you can only retrieve them using naviseccli. Please review the following Primus:
emc252739: "How do I retrieve NAZ files when using Unisphere with FLARE Release 30?"
Also in the article reminds us of the following: "This is will be fixed in future release of FLARE. The issue was not fixed in FLARE Release 30 Patch .509.
Starting in Flare 26, we added the ability to create NAZ files (encrypted archive files - ONLY accessable for support). This allowed the customer to at least start Analyzer and collect the NAZ files if there was a problem and support at least had a chance to see what was happening on the array. If you (the customer) wanted to monitor and tune your system, you could purchase the license for Analyzer and once you installed the enabler, the archives would be converted to NAR files - these you could open and view. You can not open NAZ files.
Almost all performance issues on the array are the result of configurations and not hardware or software issues. Tracking down the performance problems is sometimes very time consuming and having the ablility to monitor your own array's performance is a very useful thing. Keeping track of where you were and where you are now, is a useful way to see how the array is handling increasing workloads.
