Compellant MPIO Only using one NIC

I thought everything was going swimmingly when i woke up to this error.

Alert created on controller '356814' for object [internal ref: 'CFS-3'] - [Connectivity]: Server 'CFS-3' not visible on all expected paths

This then took down all volumes on the server. The only way i could get the volumes back was to restart one of the controllers. After looking some more i discovered that MPIO although reporting working fine wasnt.

NIC 1

NIC 2

I then went to disable nic 2 expecting nic1 to takeover but it didnt. The volumes went down again im able to ping both fault domains correctly over both cards respectively.

MPIO looks as far as i can tell setup correctly.

Is there anything anyone can think of i can try because im racking my brain trying to work out what else i can do.

Steven

    Hello @StevenPowell33,

Good to see you back in the Dell Community.

We are going to need a little bit more of information. What Compellent system do you have? Is still on warranty?

Please, check this document: Dell EMC SC Series Storage and Microsoft Multipath I/O: https://dell.to/3x8IEol and this video: https://dell.to/3ydOzJW

    Hope this helps.
    Regards.

    Morning Steven,

I think you've got the right idea when you mention calling copilot. I am fairly certain they do have some form of on-demand support offering. I'm not sure what the cost is, but that would likely be the best route.

This is a dell 5020F unit which is just out of warranty else id call copilot do they do a pay by case model.

I have been through the documents again and again to no avail. If you have any other ideas it would be a life saver
