My Aurora arrived DOA with a bad graphics card, which was diagnosed remotely. I was scheduled for a replacement three days later which was then postponed to some point in the future. It was then suggested that the unit be replaced, provided that I provide a picture of my Service Tag, name, and date with case number, which I did. I was then asked to do it using handwriting. I used Paint to write over picture of the type written note. I was then told this was not acceptable. Call me paranoid, but just exactly why does anyone need a sample of my handwriting ? Just wondering.
I think the handwriting is usually to show you have physical possession of the PC (and for example aren't someone with your service tag trying to get a free pc). Did you buy it from a third party like amazon instead of direct from Dell?
