Can't delete Hosts

Hi Guys.

We installed Dell OME 1.2 in our company.

During the discovery we made an error, and import 2 machines two times.

I want to clean the DB, but don't want to create a new one ( want to keep the the excludes)

I try to delete in many different ways (Diasabled/Enabled). Do a view restarts. But still nothing happen.

i hope you can help me.

Best Greetings

Sergej

Hi Serge and thank you for your post.

Can you clarify, did you delete the devices from the Device Tree or the Discovery Range area?

    thanks much,

    Rob

    Hi Rob,

    tnx for your answer.

I try to delete it from the Dicovery range. The Range have only one Machine, and i can't delete the range.

In the three are no servers anymore.

Ok, so just to be clear (sorry if I misunderstood you)....what happens when you right click on the server in the *device tree* and delete it from there?

Ok, thanks for the detail.  Hmmmm, looks like a possible problem with the delete trigger.

Can you look in the OME logs (in the OME GUI) and see if there is anything that looks related.  Also look in the Event log in the Windows OS (under the Dell node) and see if there is something related.

In any case, we will need a ticket to review, please call  800-945-3355 so we can get a look at the logs.

    Thx

    Rob

    Hi,

i checked all the logs. There is nothing related to this topic.

I will reinstall the tool. We are only testing now, and don't want to have a corrupt database.
