My Sk hynix Bc711 has encountered another problem. For the past few days, I have been noticing a major change in write speeds. I was copying GTA V from my another NVMe to the Bc711. But, the write speeds were very dissappointing. I thought it was the another drive. But when I ran Benchmark on the Bc711, 3200Mb/s read speed and 900Mb/s write speeds. Why does this happen? Please help.
Please upload a screenshot of your Crystal-Disk-Mark (for both NVMe SSDs if possible)
Have you checked Inspiron 3891 Dell support area for a SK-Hynix bc711 firmware-update ?

1. Actually the other NVMe was a 970 Evo and I have gave it to my friend.
2. I can send the screenshot of the Bc711.
1. You discovered the Samsung 970 Evo SSD was faster, and then gave it to your friend? Whatever you say buddy. So, I guess go buy another, and then you will have one again also.
a. Last time, it was apparently a Windows-11 SSD software glitch. Maybe it is again.
b. It's just a little $30 Hynix SSD. Hynix is an entry-level SSD brand. Faster than HDD and SATA-SSD, but not as good as better brands like Samsung. You know this.

2. Plus I don't wanna reset my drive or something. Isnt there a proper legit way?
3. Plus the firmware version on that website matches the same in the Sk hynix drive manager
1. If you have anything important on computer, it should be backed-up. It doesn't normally erase anything. It was just a pre-caution.
If you do not, it doesn't matter if it gets erased anyway.
2. You can't get any more Legit than running Dell's official OEM-SSD firmware updater.
3. Then I guess you don't need to apply it.
I'm out of ideas. Maybe someone else can help you.

@Obiymy Always include exact PC model and version of Windows in your posts.
If this is Win 11, there have been problems with poor SSD performance, and there's supposed to be another Win 11 update coming to fix this SSD problem (for the second time!), possibly in March...
Don't know if that will help with your SSD problem, even assuming you're running Win 11...
No guarantee future Microsoft updates will fix your SSD performance issues, especially since the expected update will be their second attempt to fix this issue.
You might also try resetting BIOS.
Reboot and start tapping F2 when you see the Dell splash screen to open BIOS setup
Copy down all current BIOS settings, to be safe
Go to Exit screen and select option to reset BIOS to defaults
Confirm the change and exit setup. PC will automatically boot itself to desktop
I did this atleast 2 times. No fix. Its a $30 Sk hynix NVMe, Probably no company wants to offer very good speeds at a $30 price range. Maybe Windows 10 can fix this issue?
