The Inspiron 5577 uses the more common larger barrel connector, not Dell's newer slim tip barrel.  Dell has made 130W AC adapters with the larger barrel for a very long time because that larger barrel has been in use for at least 15 years now, and Dell has been very good about maintaining compatibility.  Basically, as long as it's a Dell AC adapter, the wattage is correct, and the barrel physically fits, it will work.  You can buy a 130W AC adapter with the larger barrel directly from Dell here.

@dvaldez  for Dell laptops that support charging via USB-C, a third-party charger that supports USB PD and provides adequate wattage should be fine.  But if you're trying to charge a system using the Dell proprietary barrel connector, you might be able to find some third-party chargers that will work, but I can't speak from experience on that front.  I do know that Dell chargers use a mechanism to identify the maximum wattage that they can provide, and if the system can't detect that from the connected charger, you'll see an error about an unknown charger and possible side effects like slow battery charging and/or performance throttling as the system tries to play it safe by drawing as little power as it can from the unknown charger.  I suppose it's possible that third party chargers may have figured out how to emulate Dell chargers in this regard, but again I can't speak from my own experience.

If you have a DC jack with a center pin like this then you have a SMART power system.

The AC and your system use the center pin to communicate.

They communicate to regulate the charge/discharge of your battery.

That is why it is very important to purchase OEM AC adapters and batteries!!!

Is it worth hoping that a "Universal/China knockoff" AC and battery will work???

For a SMART power system always purchase Original OEM batteries and AC's
