Black Screen Issue

I have dell Inspiron 5570.  Few days back my laptop started updating and then it got stuck there after that nothing happened. next day when I tried to turn it on there was a black screen with no dell logo and nothing else. I tried to turn it on several time but there's only a black screen and it won't start. what's the issue and how can I solve that?

    Windows 10 is on the system ? Do you remember if the update was from windows (Microsoft) or Dell?

    In meantime, run Dell Off Line Diagnostic to check Hard drive and the other Hardware within the computer by following steps below;

    1. Power off system.

    2. Power on system, quickly start tapping F12 key continuously until you see Preparing One Time Boot Menu in top corner of screen. In Dell Preboot menu, select Diagnostic. After quick tests finished, select Hard drive, and then click Thorough Test Mode. Report back any error code.

     " pressing F12 key continuously "

    -------------

    I'm assuming you tap ( not press) the F12 key multiple times....

    Try  to get in the BIOS menu(F2 key) by following same steps above. If you aren't able to get in BIOS menu then I suspect the BIOS update has corrupted your computer.

    Please stroll down to 'How do I start the BIOS recovery on a Dell system', select Notebook, and then follow the steps to see if there's a BIOS Recovering tool on the system.

    Just checking on status of the black screen?  You tried steps I suggested to see if there's an BIOS Recovery Tool on the computer ? You resolve the black screen problem yourself ?

    I assume you tried to get into the BIOS (F2 Key) menu as well....

    I suspect BIOS is corrupt. If you are comfortable opening computer's base cover and removing components inside the computer, I suggest reseating the coin-cell battery. Removing coin-cell battery resets BIOS setup program’s settings to default.
