Dell Inspiron 3583 - Adding storage / 2nd SSD

Hi. Need some advice about adding a secondary HDD for my Dell Inspiron 3583.

I have severe shortage of space on my system (256 GB) and need to look for an immediate storage upgrade.

My current hard drive is - 256GB M.2 PCIe NVMe Solid State Drive.

Can I add a second hard drive to my laptop?  Possibly a 2.5" SSD SATA drive?

Is there room for a second ssd on my laptop? If yes what type of ssd would be best suitable ?

There is a 2.5" drive bay for a SATA SSD -- any standard one will work.  That said, remove the base cover and check inside the system.  It is common for systems that ship without the 2.5" drive to be missing the required cable, bracket and screws -- if they're not present, you will need to contact Dell to order them.

The other option, of course is a larger M.2 SSD.
