Inspiron 5767 Boot Failure

Hi,

My laptop suddenly doesn't work starting from yesterday after I restarted it.

It was in a boot loop.

I did try to reinstall the Windows 10 and everything works well after the reinstallation (sometimes it was stuck in the boot loop when installing). But whenever I reboot it after setting up my Windows 10, the same boot loop problem happened again. I also ran the ePSA Pre-boot System Assessment and all hardwares are working properly except that the battery health is poor. So I am sure the harddrives are all good.

I also tried to change the BIOS setting back to default. Still, the boot loop problem wasn't solved at all.

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Please list Dell model number and version of windows. Example Dell Inspiron 3543, windows 10

If you don't know it, type msinfo32 onto the search box and then stroll down to System Model, you should see the exact Dell model number. In the meantime, run the diagnostic tool to check the hardware on system by following the steps below:

    1. Power off system. Remove all peripherals ( except AC adapter)

    2. Power on system, quickly start tapping F12 continuously until you see Preparing one time boot menu in the top right corner of the screen. In the boot menu, stroll down to Diagnostic and then click on it.  After quick tests, click on Hard drive, and select Thorough Test Mode. Report back any error code.

Boot to the Dell firmware based diagnostics (F12 at powerup) and run an extended test on the storage drive (note: if it's a spinning hard drive of 1G or larger, this will take several hours).  The quick test is limited in scope.

If the drive passes the extended diagnostics, you're all but certain to need to reinstall (or at minimum, repair) the Windows installation.

The problem was eventually solved by reinstallling the Windows 10 with a ISO file. I am sure the hardware is in good shape. I originally tried to reinstall Windows 10 using the one time boot menu. That didnt work at all. So I believe the boot files were corrupted.
