N7110 Motherboard
I'm refurbishing an N7110 with a new motherboard. (and adding memory, new battery, and an SSD). My old motherboard is a 0YH79Y. I understand that an alternative board is the 9NWTG. However, I can find no specs for that mobo online. (This topic has been posted before in a now-locked thread, but received no satisfactory answers. I disvalue replies such as "search google" or "You can't do that". Please be constructive, helpful, and specific.)
My question then: Where can I find the 9NWTG specs (I've found the board online for @ $60)? I need these to determine whether this board is indeed compatible. (The 2 sellers I've found both have failed to answer this question.They just want to sell me something.)

Note: The labels have long ago disappeared, so I have no "Service Tag" number any longer, which to Dell means I'm a non-person.

Go to the Parts-People page here and type in your service tag number and you will be notified of the compatibility. This page at 1Gbits explains how to find the ST number when the tag is missing or worn off.

thanks for the constructive answers. I'm exploring ideas in both. (The laptop has a 17" touchscreen and backlit keyboard, which makes rehabbing it a bit more attractive. Of course, I understand it's really obsolete, with max 8G of RAM and an older, 2nd gen I5 CPU, but I intend of giving it away anyway.)

9NWTG resolves to a discrete GPU board. YH79Y isn't a system board - it's the base plastic assembly.
There are two types of boards for this model - one with discrete video and one with integrated. Subject to also changing the heatsink assembly (these are different), they should interchange.
That said, carefully compare another option: buying a complete used system. Spending $60 on just a board for a system that has a starting value of half that isn't particularly an exercise in value. There are plenty of complete, working systems on EBay at the moment for $30-60. In exchange, you also have a set of reserve spare parts for the next time a failure occurs.
