UNSOLVED
re-installed supportassist.
Last week, I reinstalled the latest release of SupportAssist and the first thing I noticed was no updates.
My BIOS was at 1.35 but I was fully aware, thanks to windows update that 1.36 was available and yet this was not made available to me via SupportAssist.
Can anyone explain why this happens, since it must surely be a critical update?

Sometimes there can be some lag between the two/different timings etc.. For BIOS and driver updates, you can also check here: Dell Support page, once you input the system's Service Tag it should show the latest updates available for the system.
Also, after entering the Service Tag you can filter it to just BIOS or other categories (depending what update you're looking for etc.).
