Isilon replication - cannot resync-prep

Hello

I have been confronted to this situation multiple times while attempting to do a SyncIQ failover/failback

After doing a "Allow Writes" on a target cluster, execution of a "Resync-prep" command fails on the source cluster, if its SyncIQ policy was still in "Scheduled" mode.

The Resync-prep fails with message:

SyncIQ policy failed. Failback prep cannot be done for a policy which has not finished initial or upgrade sync.

My guess is that, as the schedule was still enabled on the source cluster, it attempted to make an incremental sync. However, this was refused by the target cluster as it is now Write-Enabled. I usually always set the policy on source cluster in Manual mode to avoid this situation, and this works well when doing planned failover/failback.

We simulated a network outage on source cluster. Failover was easy to do, but now I cannot do the resync-prep as the source policy is in "not finished" state.

I attempted a isi sync policies resolve, and a isi sync policies reset, I'm still unable to do the resync-prep...

Is there a way to set status of sync policy back to normal?

Thank you!

after running allow write check the status using  below commands on both local and remote clusters.

    isi_classic domain list -w -l

    isi sync target list
