Battery replacement

currently i have a Latitude E5550/5550 using  a Type RYXXH of 38wh, can i switch to 51 wh battery?

    The batteries are the same size, so it should be possible.

    @ejn63​ what worries me the most is the fact of the energy delivered by the batttery Type RYXXH has Nominal Voltage 11.1 the G5M10 (51wh) has 7.4

    Voltage is not energy - it's electrical potential.   The system will adjust for the lower voltage of the higher-capacity cell. 

    A 51 WHr battery stores more energy than a 38 WHr battery -- the circuitry on the mainboard will adjust for a lower voltage to deliver the same energy (or power, if you want to include the time) to the components in the system.
