anyone have a easy way to disable the smart card reader on a 5510? (permanently)

we have a user that must use a external SC reader and the two interfere

I have disabled it in Device manage, but it keeps re-enabling itself

I did not see anywhere in BIOS where i can disable it-- not under system config or miscellaneous devices
