E3510 will not wake from sleep
Rant: This is the 2nd time that I am posting this, this morning. DO NOT DELETE IT.
I posted a description of my problem just a couple hours ago but Dell deleted it... I cannot find it. There was nothing vulgar or abusive about the post, just a description of the issue. They sent me a nice message asking for my service tag and replied that my machine service was expired, and that "someone on the community might reply and help" me... but where is my post? GONE. How is anyone going to reply if the message has been removed?!
My account says I have 1 post... but it is in the void I guess. When I click on it *blank page*. When I do a global search for e3510 which was IN THE TITLE mine doesn't show. Now I'm just mad.
The Problem: My machine is up to date, bios, drivers etc. All of the device power managment tabs had disappeared. When trying to wake machine from keyboard/mouse the monitors don't come on. There is some activity on the HD and the fan is blowing. If I press the power button the machine then shuts off.
I *forced* the power management tabs for keyboard and mouse to return by using admin command line powercfg operations. But that doesn't help.
I have followed many "machine doesn't wake" articles and their fixes. Still no joy.
S3 blocking in the Bios is unchecked, fast startup in power setting is unchecked.
Thanks for the reply. My original post was still on the screen of my tablet. When I refreshed the page the post disappeared and a message said that it had been marked as spam by a moderator. There were no links or anything in the post to warrant a "spam" designation.
I've tried setting all of power options to "sleep" with no hibernation in any field. The result is the same.
When I sleep the e3510
1 The monitors turn off
2 the power button is illuminated, the power LED is on solid. Not pulsing.
3 hd activity stops
When I move the mouse while in sleep
1 some HD activity... and stops
2 monitors dont come on
3 fan running
Pressing the power button then turns off the e3510. All lights go out.

You have not explained the original post. But here something to check-- Hibernation. The default is Hibernation if Sleep goes on too long. That looks like the computer is off--no lights or sounds. That requires a brief press of the Power Button to wake it from Hibernation. It looks like it is rebooting and take a few seconds longer but all your open windows and files will still be there on the desktop. So if a mouse click doesn't wake up the computer, try a power button press.
You can disable or change settings for Hibernation and Hybrid Sleep and other power options by opening Settings, Power, Advanced Settings, Change your power plan settings.
