So your laptop (internal) display is black / not displaying anything? Are you working on the system on an external monitor?

If you are seeing "nothing" it may be a coincidence that your display ran into a hardware issue at the same time you upgraded your drive.

Try a few things and let us know... If you power on your system do you see a dell logo? If no, the screen isn't working at all. The backlight inverter could have died and if this is the case you can hold a light to your screen and see ghosting or light images of windows.... very hard to see sometimes. Easiest fix is to swap the LCD module.

Is the backlight for the display on, but displaying black ? (look at it in a dark room to tell for sure) If this is the case hold FN key and press F8 to cycle across display outputs, it could have gotten stuck.

If you still see nothing unplug the computer and remove the battery - Plug it back in and While holding down the D key on the internal keyboard press the power button, the display should power on and cycle through some colors... red - blue - green, etc.... If this doesn't happen I'd be willing to bet your LCD module is bad.

In my workplace we did have some 6410 with the display turning on but displaying black once booted into windows. These had the intel video setup though, and I believe an older driver version was needed to fix this.... but if you don't pass the display test above then this isn't your issue.

Windows 7 and Windows XP don't work like this too. But sensors show me that videochip heating pretty high. I think may be videochip just burned. But it's still heating. And latest videodriver is published in 2016((

After instalation of Windows 10 it's starting normaly with standart Windows videodriver. After instalation nvidia driver it's look like just dont work at all. And I can see when load bios and Dell logo and I can see Windows logo. And after all of that display just like disconnected or something like this. Windows 7 and Windows XP the same story.
