Alienware 17 R1 Command Center - TactX error

When I open the laptop and start Windows 8.1 and when I click on the Alien TactX button in the Alienware Command Center software, I get this message:

System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
at AlienLabs.Keypad.Domain.Classes.ProfileManagerHolderClass.get_IndependentKeys()
at AlienLabs.Keypad.Domain.Classes.Factories.ObjectFactory.getSpecialKeysList()

at AlienLabs.Keypad.Controller.ControllerMainForm..ctor()

When I click on the TactX button in the command center I also get an additional window with the following error.

System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

After I click on the OK button the Comand Center crashes.

I have tried reinstalling the command center, but the error continues.

    I will recommend you to uninstall the command center, flash the BIOS to the latest version you find in the Dell support website, shut down the system and perform a power drain.

    After that download the command center and install it one more time.

    Let me know if that helps you.
