132 Beep Code

Hello All

I have a Dimension 9150 and am unable to boot it up.  I'm not getting to the Dell screen.  I am getting a 132 Beep code, memory issue maybe?  I already tried removing all the peripherals and unplugging the PC.  Does anyone have a suggestion on what I should do?  I see some suggest I reseat the memory, any thoughts on that?  Also what if that does not work, what next?

Thanks

    1-3-2 is not in the table?

     What color are the Diagnostic Lights?

    * Turn the PC off
    * Unplug the power cord from the back of the PC
    * Lay the PC down on its left side
    * Remove the case cover
    * Remove and reseat every card, cable, plug, and ram stick
    * Close the case cover
    * Reconnect the PC power cord
    * Power the PC on

    The 1-3-2 beepcode has historically been for the system not recognizing memory (on Dell systems at least).

    I would start with that and reduce your memory to a single dimm and see if it gets you anywhere, if that dimm doesn't make a difference, replace it with 1 of the ones you pulled. Used this swapping idea to find which dimm may be causing your problem.

    Hello DELL-Chris M

    The Diagnositic Lights are 3 and 4 so according to the diagnotic code table the problem is "Memory modules are detected but a memory failure had occurred".  I guess I will reseat the memory dimm by dimm, yes?

    Thanks
