You might want to ask this in the PowerEdge forum rather than the Dimension forum. In any case, why would you want to watercool it? It is a server, after all, and designed for reliable 24/7 operation rather than speed.

RE speed: Watercooling does not equal speed - it's a means to reduce noise with superiror cooling performance.

No - for the case - CPU watercooled.

That was my thought, but he's after reduced noise (servers have lots of fans and are not quiet -- usually you just stick them in some out-of-the-way closet)

actually watercooling can increase speed,just overclock your pc.watercooling enables you to achieve higher clock speeds

if you water cool you will be geting rid of the noise of your cpu cooler but water cooling kits use a fan and radiator and still generate noise. what other fans do you have?

Well aware of overclocking - I own a website that is well known for it.

Even though you use a fan for the radiator, it's a large fan (typically 120mm) which runs as slower rpms than typical 60mm CPU fans. The noise difference is considerable; my current case is about 30 dBA at 3 feet - I had more noise coming from chipset fans than radiator fans - I finally slowed them down to 5 volts and now the PC is virtually silent.

The rad fans do double duty - they cool the water and vent the case.

yea 120mm fans blow alot of cfms.what website do you own?
