ATI 9800 Pro Lock Up

Every game that I play locks up and stops after about 3 to 5 mins. Never have any problems with plain desktop items like word, excel, and internet.

Any help would be great, could it be a bad video card?

how new is the 9800pro? could be bad as stated,(best way to check is to put it in another system) check and make sure the fan is running and make sure the case fan of the comp is running also, could be overheating.

Case is running cool, the card is only 3 months old and have tried in another computer and it locks up also in that one.

umm, then you know the video card is bad...return it.
