Can I put a PCI Controller into the E510

I ordered the e 510 for work and then realized our Gestetner copier has a 25 pin plug for the back of the E510 tower which has only USB.  Can I put a PCI controller into this tower to 'fix' this?

First determine if the copier is compatible with Windows XP and that you have the drivers for it. Then determine if the copier has a parallel or serial port and buy the right PCI card from a local PC store or online dealer. They're not very expensive. Get the card installed and configured properly (make sure it's recognized in Device Manager) before connecting the scanner to it.

be careful! that could also be SCSI... just because its 25 pins doesnt mean its Parallel... and scanners usually older scanners and newer high speed copiers at least where SCSI because of transfer speeds... if it is SCSI you'd need an Adaptec 2906  SCSI Card at least... might want to check into what the port is first

Checked with the copier company- it is a parallel port and he is ordering it for me.  Thanks for all of the good advice.  I learned something!
