cannot find printer

I have been playing around with the system configuration trying to fix another problem and another problem occurred. If I try to print something now, a message pops up saying "cannot print, cannot find printer spooling services" or something to that effect. And to fix it, it says to go to the printer and faxes window and my printer has disappeared altogther. Can anyone help?

    If you have Windows ME or Windows XP, you could use the System Restore feature and that MAY get you back to where you were before you did whatever you did.

    Here's the thing..I have tried the system restore and somehow..all of the past system checkpoints are gone..I can't get back to a date when everything was still there...still don't know what to do...

    Normal procedure is to uninstall and then reinstall the printer. Be sure to follow your printer manufacturers directions.
