Celeron Processor Trouble
Would frequent lockups and instant restarts be the result of a fried processor? Would it have anything to do with the processor? I have even tried formatting and reinstalling Windows XP Home Edition several times and nothing happens.
Intel Celeron 800MHz; 100MHz FSB
Thanks.

Could be a power-related problem such as a bad UPS or surge, or even power supply. Could also be bad memory or even a CPU.
The system could use a bare/clean install of it's OS with all cards, external devices, and even unneeded drives disconnected to determine the problem.
Well, this is not really a dell anymore.
It has a Antec 430Watt power supply
40GB 5400rpm HDD
448MB 133MHz SD RAM
Celeron 800MHz 100FSB
Original Dell sound card PCI Sound Blaster
48x CD Rom
GForce 4 MX440 64MB Video card
Wireless mouse
Keyboard
New Motherboard
I figured a fried processor wouldn't work becasue I have one of those, but the processor is the only think I can think of sence reformatting and Reinstalling XP Home isn't helping.
Thanks.
