Computer locks up
On an increasingly random and intermittant schedule my monitor screen goes entirely grey and the computer reacts to no commands at all. The only thing I can do is turn off the computer and then turn it back on again. Any ideas as to problem and more importantly solution?

1) the video card is having problem.
- Downgrade ur resolution to 640x480 and 256 color if possible.
- update latest video card drivers (dell.com)
2) Monitor problem.
- when the problem happens, try turn off ur monitor, unplug the cable connect to the PC (w/o shutting off system) and wait for 30 seconds. Plug it back in and see it works. if it does, then ur monitor might have problems.
