Go to SolutionDell XPS 730X Liquid Cooling?
Can anyone recommend an aftermarket liquid cooling system for the Dell XPS 730X? Was it easy to install? How did you handle the case that surrounds the heatsink and the rear fan? Would I have to order the factory liquid cooling system from Dell in order to use liquid cooling? If you can tell me a product you used and how you installed, that would be great.

The liquid setup from Dell, the H2C, will run you $1100 if you don't purchase it as an option with your 730x. I was lucky enough to pick one up on eBay just last week for $350 and it looks and works like new. I'd been watching eBay for an H2C unit since February, searching EVERY day until I was lucky enough to find one. If you can't find one on eBay, try one of the CPU fan/heatsink(s) below. I've read the reviews and these are supposed to perform nearly as good as liquid cooling.
P.S. - I don't think you'd have much luck trying an aftermarket liquid setup in the 730x because there is very little room to work with.

These are good options. My question is how do you handle the casing and rear fan? Do you just remove the casing over the factory heatsink and leave the rear fan I presume?

The fan you're referring to is attached to the plastic heatsink fan shroud so when you remove your heatsink, the fan comes off with it. The coolers I posted above would take the place of your current heatsink/fan setup for the CPU.
