Dimension 3000 - Audio Problem
I reformatted, and installed the chipset, and then the other drivers/componets I needed, but to my dis-belief the audio device isn't working. It says that the "audio device files are not compatable with my computer." I'm not sure as to why this is happening, but it's the first problem I've ever had in reformatting my computer.

- HiTry to download the drivers from the below website and then try to install the same. This will solve the problem.RegardsKnight

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
The error message indicates that you installed the wrong driver for your audio. Which driver did you install? Have you verified the type of sound card that was shipped with the system?
