Do both audio outs work simultaneously in Studio Hybrid?

I have just purchased a Dell Studio Hybrid PC and I'd like to use both the analog line out and optical digital out at the same time. If the analog is on, the digital doesn't seem to work. Does anyone know how to make both work at the same time? I'm using Windows Vista Home and the only option we added to the base config of the Hybrid was the Sound Blaster Audigy HD Software Edition. Thanks in advance for your help!

In all the Dell Integrated Audio systems I've seen, you can only have one output at a time, there doesn't seem to be any option for both.

The SoundBlaster Audigy HD is only a software enhancement to the Integrated (on the motherboard) Audio.

I had the same need as you.  I purchased a Creative Labs X-Fi sound card.  It supports digital and analog at the same time.  I use the speaker output to drive my analog channel  In my case I have them both integrated to my multi channel A/V receiver...
