Driver Question?

Hello all,

I've been trying to install a Logitech G5 laser mouse for three days and Logitech Support thought I should come here to hopefully find some answers... For some reason the new hardware wizard cannot find the necessary software to install. The device is a plug n play, but it did come with the install cd. I have a laptop with the same os as my desktop and it installs like a charm and it is an awesome mouse btw, but this mouse is for my desktop. I have other devices that install on the desktop with no hitches. I've used every  usb port available on my 600 at least ten times, but it's not making any difference. Any who, it's not a hardware problem and Logitech feels that it's a driver issue of some kind. Can any one tell me if there is a driver download that might fix this issue? Has any one else had this problem?

Thanks for your help
