***HELP***720H2C Continuous Reboot
I purchased a 720H2C and received it on 29 Dec. I set everything up and it worked great the first day (as far as I know). The only software I loaded was Office 2007 and Adobe CS3 Design Premium. On 30 December when I went to cut my computer on, the machine tried to boot into the OS, but it shutdown, and went into the "Windows Error Recovery" Screen. I had two options: repair or start Windows normally. No matter what option I chose...it recycled back to the WER. Dell tech's had be reload Vista three different times. We checked for any errors, none whatsoever. The strange thing is, when I actually get in to Vista, and if I restart the system it boots right up. The only time it recycles into WER is when I cut the machine on for the first time each day. I took off all my attached USB devices (Bluetooth keyboard/mouse, external HD and Speakers ... also took a 1GB flash drive off). Everyday, it recycles about 5 times into WER (with the two options) before booting into Vista. I even tried the "automatically reboot into Windows after system crash." I've been working with Dell for the last week and I haven't got to use my systems full up potential. Actually, I'm now working on an exchange ... I've reflashed back to BIOS A03, and the problem is still not fixed.
I'm new to the forum, and I look up every post on the 720H2C ... I even sent my Service Tag to Chris per his request. This is my fifth Dell (2 other laptops and 2 desktops) and this is the first time I have had any issues with any system.
Any insight into what could be the problem?
