Invalid Configuration
A couple of days ago, while attempting to boot up, I get the following message: Invalid configuration information-please run set up program. It then says performing automatic IDE configuration. Then says time of day not set. Then please run set up program. I do that and reset the clock and date. After i shut off the computer and start it up, i have todo the same thing day after day. What do i need to do to fix that??

You have a bad CMOS battery on your motherboard. Open up your case and you will see a battery that looks like it works for a watch. That is what you need to replace, they are like $4, 3v.
When you have a bad or failing battery, you get this error because the system can't save the time and date, or anything for that matter. I need battery power.
Thanks
