is there a way to set music match to not load automatically when i insert a cd?

    Yes. The easiest way is to go into your Device Manager and expand the [+] next to your CDROM. Then locate the actual CDROM that you use e.g. "Samsung...". Right-click (or highlight) that particular CDROM. Then click the button marked properties. The ensuing dialog should be titled something like "Samsung CDROM Properties", and there should be several tabs, one of which is Settings.

    When you click settings, locate the option Auto insert notification and uncheck it.

    Then reboot your computer.

    there should be an option under music match about it... just try to explore...  e.g. (Music match->Options->Settings....) you might want to disable it's autoload feature.

    MusicMatch Jukebox, like almost all other media players has options for whatever types of files you want it to be the default player for.  Apparently it is now set to be the default player for CD audio.  If do not want any media player to be the default then deselect it in MMJB and also check (or uncheck I forget) the box about reclaiming file types.    If you want another media player to be the default then select the CD audio in that media player's user options.
