NotifyAlert.exe Problems

Same problem:   Solution that works for me:   C:\Program Files\Dell\Support\Alert\Bin\NotifyAlert.exe

Rename NotifyAlert.exe   to  XXXNotifyAlert.exe   or some other name.

Dell NotifyAlert.exe program no longer functions - have gotten no more error messages and have had no adverse effects from the change.   The rest of Dell remains intact - whether for better or worse I will leave to others.

Thanks for all the help from others that pointed me in this direction cause was going crazy with the errors!

    Thanks for the tip, WW.

The "NotifyAlert.exe" problem had been annoying me for the past several months. I was also getting an error for the "DA_PASlog.exe" application as well. I just renamed both files so we'll see how it goes.

Dell requires that the .Net Framework to be installed on your system. If .Net is uninstalled, Dell support may produce the following errors during boot time.

    NotifyAlert.exe - Application failed

To resolve this issue, perform either of the following solutions:

1.Download the Latest Version of .NET via a Windows Update

2.Install .NET from the Windows XP

    a. Insert the Windows XP CD into the CD or DVD drive.

The Welcome to Microsoft Windows XP menu appears.

    b. Click Perform additional tasks.

    c. Click Install .NET Framework

    d. After the installation is complete, restart the computer.

    Hope this helps
