pipe unlocking?

I have an e510 with a  Geforce 7600GT and have heard a lot about pipe unlocking and was wondering if its possible to unlock any extra pipes in that card. If so, how is it done? Having more than 12 on this card would be sweet  Any help would be hugely appreciated.

I've never heard of it being done.  As far as I know of the Nvidia G73 chip of the 7600GT only has 12 pixel pipelines   There is nothing to unlock.   It's not the same core as the 7900 GT & GTX 24 pipe G71 or the 7800GT &GTX 20/24 pipe  G70 chip.   The last Nvidia  core that everyone was unlocking extra pipes was the NV 40 AGP where the boards were not laser cut.

especially now its almost impossible to unlock since NV and ATI know about programs like RivaTuner that are used to unlock extra pipes. they laser lock the chips making it impossible to open the extra pipes.

the last NV chip that could be unlocked was NV40 (which was the agp native 6800 series chip) and the last ATi chip was the R480 or R423 i think, not sure about those 2 tho.

I heard the same thing about the agp's.  Thanks for the speedy response.  I'll just stick with overclocking little by little because this Tomb Raider Legend game is a real graphics monster.  My e510/gf7600gt cant handle it on next gen mode.   :smileymad:

Why would you need to unlock an r480? They have 16 pipes from the get-go. The r423 could be unlocked if you had a VIVO card. I unlocked my r423 to 16 pipes and i have an efective r480, some x1800/x1900 GTOs can be unlocked

The X850PRO was a R480 with only 12 pipes, the AGPs could be unlocked.  The early X800GTO2 had R480 cores that could be unlocked and the latter ones came unlocked.
