Problem with Dimension 8400

Hi i'l keep this short.

Basically I turn the computer on and just get this message "R423XT P/N 133 - A31903 - 102 - Rev09 - 16P BR#7907 A12 DDR3 bios P4Rel9.0.1"

The startup process does not progress to anything more than this.

I have absolutely no idea what this means and would greatly appreciate any help you can offer, thanks in advance.

Hello sAm_08, This error message deals with the ATI video card in your system.

It may be related to a video card failure, but there are other issues that can cause this as well.

I would first try to reseat the video card. In other words, remove it from the motherboard slot and then re-insert it in the slot.

This can sometimes resolve the issue, if the card is not making a good connection in the slot.

I have at times, removed the video card and rebooted the system without the card installed.

You will get an error beep. Then shut the system down and re-install the video card and reboot the system.

You also could try to reset the system BIOS and see if that resloves the issue.

There is a video card BIOS update for this, but if you cannot boot into Windows, you probably could not update it.

    Just some thoughts.
