Problem with Geforce 7800 GTX Driver.

I have the 256 nVidia Geforce 7800 GTX video card,I have a Dell XPS 400, then I put Half Life 2 on my PC, when I click to play HL2 it says the drivers are out of date. When I go to nVidia.com to download the drivers it says my hardware is out of date. I just got the computer yesterday. So what is my problem.

Well I tried to download the new driver first, then I went to add/remove programs and I removed the current drivers.

Did you completly remove your current drivers before trying to install the new ones from Nvidia's site? Try using drivercleaner and see if that helps.

It should work just fine-no idea what "the hardware is out of date" could mean. Never heard of that error message.
