RAM question (Dimension 2300)

A friend of mine has a Dimension 2300 that came with 128 MB of PC133 memory. He would like to upgrade the memory and I happened to have some Rosewill PC133 memory laying around. I checked around and found a few people that have used the same memory that I have in a dimension 2300 in the past so I decided to try it out. After putting the memory in the machine, it will not post. I get 1 long beep and 2 short beeps. I know that 1 long beep and 3 short beeps means that the memory is not compatable and I expected to hear that before the 1 long 2 short. After some investigation, I found that 1 long 2 short is a bios error. After removing the memory the PC starts up just fine. I have no computers around that still take pc133 memory so I am unable to test the memory in a different computer. Is the memory actually compatable? I expect links on where to purchase compatable memory or check compatability but I am wondering if anyone knows for sure if this memory is in fact compatable. I had at least 3 people tell me that they have used this memory in the exact model I speak of but I don't know how credible these people are. Thank you for your assistance.
