Removeing MSN Software
If anyones used the MSN ISP software that came with your system, you may have noticed how it tries to take over you computer...especially if you have an existing ISP account that you would like to use. It really dosnt like that.
If anyone out there has found a way to Completely Remove this software, other than a complete format and reinstall i'd love to hear about it.
Theres a "Turn Off" option for it, but that is bogus. As soon as it detects you logging onto the internet from either DNS or software application other than MSN it loads adn gives some silly message about MSN file missing, load it now to correct it..blah blah blah. BS is what it is, only reason i installed it in the first place is because I got a "Free" year promo when i bought this system a week or so ago.
It is Not detected under ADD/REMOVE Programs options under Control Panel. Nor does it show under Windows Explorer. Only Place i can find it is on the desktop, and there it just loads the ISP connection, where as before i installed it the same icon was the installer. I guess Micro$oft really wants you to usde their products, no matter what. =(

I already had DSL when I bought my new system. Was rather easy to configure. Just go into IE Tools and configure it for your DSL and it should work fine.
