SanDisk Cruzer Micro

Have above device (2 Gb version)
Box is a Dell Optiplex 330 Minitower - XP Pro SP3 fully patched, no warez :-)

When I plug in the thumb drive to a USB port it connects but I cannot "see" the drive via Windows Explorer.

This applies, unfortunately to all thumb drives that I have on-hand.

Tips, comments - appreciated.

Can you see the thumb drives in Disk Management? Right click on the 'My Computer' icon and choose 'Manage'. Look for the category 'Storage', under that is 'Disk Management'.

If you can see the thumb drive in the lower panel, you probably have a drive letter conflict. Right click on the thumb drive in Disk Management. Choose 'Change Drive Letter and Path' to a letter not already in use.

I was on the phone with Dell and they found that TweakUI was hiding "G" - issue resolved.

Issue now back, thumb-drive fried, other work, plug-and-pray.
