vcache setting too low?

Does anyone know what the effects of setting your vcache too low would be? I've taken the advice of many about setting my Vcache to 1/4 of my RAM (256), the problem is I get "fatal exception OE @028:xxxxxxxx in VxD Voltrack 04" error messages when trying to burn a CD with MusicMatch Jukebox. When I boost the vcache up to 75% of my RAM, I have no problems. Is this right? I also have all other programs shut down except explorer and systray. Any help would be great as to what this is or another setting to change...........
Thanks!!

When you are setting the Vcache are you entering the amount as 65536? Remember there are 1024kb in 1mb so you need to multiply it out. The system does not recognize mb only kb for the swapfile.

    1/4 of 256mb = 64mb
    64mb x 1024kb=65536kb

WinMe sets the [vcache] automatically. No need to have any entries there. Let windows handle it.
