Video Decoder Error
I have a Dimension E510 with a Dual Tuner Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II card installed running on Windows XP Media Center Edition Ver. 2002 with SP2
I am able to watch any DVD and play any video on it including recorded TV file formats in Windows Media Player. But when I go to "Media Center" it will not let me watch any TV or DVD's. I can play all of the music I want and any of my music videos. I just did a fresh install of the OS and it was after that that I lost the ability to play DVD's and all with Media Center. I recive this error message every time:
Decoder Error
The video decoder has either malfunctioned or is not installed. Please restart Media Center and/or the computer.
I think there is a problem with linking the Encoders/Decoders in Windows Media Player with Media Center. If anyone has an ideas I'm open to anything.
