In short, I've had my XPS for a few years now, and the motherboard finally died. It would boot, the fans would come on and stay on, but there would be no post beeps, the front lights would not come on, and there was no information going to the monitor. The amber light on the motherboard also remained on. After researching, I found that this series of motherboards used some "less then par" capacitors. I inspected my board and yep, there was a capacitor that had the bulge and was leaking. I will try to replace that capacitor, but I'm afraid that more will go. So my question is are there any motherboards and converter kits out there so I can upgrade, or am I stuck with what I have now. Thanks for the help!
